Hartford HealthCare grows Southington presence

Hartford HealthCare said it's opened a $5.9 million health center in Southington.

The 48,000-square-foot facility, which HHC began building in 2015, will be staffed by primary care, endocrinology, aging, rehabilitation and neurosciences providers.

HHC plans to add additional services in the future, including bariatrics, colorectal, dermatology, gastroenterology, nephrology, general surgery and medical weight loss.

The 462 Queen St. building is located down the road from one of HHC's GoHealth urgent care centers.

HHC this month also plans to open another Southington facility at 98 Main St., which will offer mental health and older adult services, and substance abuse treatment.

"We're really excited about our growth in Southington," HHC President Jeffrey A. Flaks said in a statement. "It's growth with a purpose: increasing and improving access to state-of- the-art medicine and health services."
