Cass named president and CEO of American Nuclear Insurers

Michael P. Cass has been appointed president and CEO of Glastonbury-based American Nuclear Insurers (ANI), effective Dec. 1. Cass has been with ANI for 29 years, most recently as senior vice president and general counsel responsible for legal and governance matters, and membership relations. He succeeds George Turner, who is retiring after 30 years of service, the last 20 as president and CEO.

 

Dr. Seidner named chief medical officer at The Hartford

Dr. Adam Seidner has been appointed chief medical officer at The Hartford. Reporting to John Kinney, the company’s chief claims officer, Seidner will be responsible for leading The Hartford’s medical strategy and policy across all lines of business.

 

Erikson named deputy general counsel at Webster Bank; Vines Trumbull, Harris associate GC

Frederik F. Erikson, senior vice president at Webster Bank, has been named deputy general counsel, and two other senior vice presidents, Katherine Vines Trumbull and Jennifer L. Harris, have been named associate general counsel.

 

Dr. Pimentel joins St. Francis as specialist in maternal fetal medicine

Dr. Veronica Maria Pimentel has joined St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center as a fellowship-trained specialist in maternal fetal medicine with St. Francis Medical Group. Pimentel is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and her clinical interests include prenatal diagnosis and medical complications of pregnancy.

 

Dr. Kombert named associate VP, medical affairs at Hartford Hospital

Dr. Daniel Kombert has been named associate vice president of medical affairs for Hartford Hospital and medical director of the Hartford HealthCare Transfer Center. In this new role, Kombert will be responsible for the appropriate use of inpatient services at Hartford Hospital as well as providing administrative and medical oversight of the Hartford HealthCare Transfer Center within the Care Logistics Center.

 

Even joins Goldberg Segalla as associate

Andrew J. Even has joined Goldberg Segalla as an associate in the firm’s workers’ compensation practice group in Hartford. Even was previously with Mullen & McGourty PC.

 

Miner joins Smith Brothers as employee benefits account executive

Nicole A. Miner has joined Glastonbury-based insurance broker Smith Brothers as employee benefits account executive. Miner’s responsibilities include managing and selling employee benefits products and administering and servicing group medical, Medicare, dental, life, disability and voluntary benefits, among other tasks.

 

Sattler joins Savings Institute Bank & Trust as SVP, commercial lending

Jeffrey Sattler has joined Savings Institute Bank & Trust as senior vice president, commercial lending. Sattler will oversee managing and growing the bank’s commercial banking business, including lending, leasing and deposit accounts throughout the greater Springfield and Enfield areas.

Michelle Bonner, a former anchor at ESPN, has been named marketing director for the Mandell Jewish Community Center of Greater Hartford.

 

Nappi named VP at Hartford HealthCare home division

Michael S. Nappi Jr. has been named the new vice president within Hartford HealthCare's Community Network Division for Independence at Home. Located at in Glastonbury, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the division. He will also oversee the promotion of services throughout the community.
