How to Order a Reprint

REPRINTING and REPUBLISHING articles GUIDELINES:

OPTION 1: We can format the article for you as a PDF reprint

The Hartford Business Journal can provide custom PDFs of articles that appear in our print edition or online at HartfordBusiness.com.

Click on "Order a Reprint" at the top of any article to start the process. Our staff can format a reprint for you to an 8.5x11 page size. The fee for the PDF includes the cost of obtaining copyright permission.

Copyright fee is included and covers these uses:

• Posting the digital PDF on your web site in its original form

• Emailing the digital PDF in its original form

• Printing and distributing hard copies as a marketing/sales tool.

Add a commemorative plaque. All plaque purchases are additional and include PDF marketing digital reprint as stated above. Plaques are walnut brown woodgrain finish with reprint mounted under beveled plexi-glass. Trimmed with metal corner nails.

To distribute material published by HBJ in print or online in your own format, you must obtain permission.

This includes:

  • Photocopying print or web articles to distribute to staff members, clients or prospects.
  • Copying and pasting digital content onto your corporate website, intranet and extranet
  • Republishing content in a newsletter, e-newsletter, book or journal
  • Use in a powerpoint presentation
  • Distributing material within academic settings to students.

OPTION 3: LINKS to articles and SOCIAL MEDIA sharing:

If you would simply like to link to one of our articles from your webpage or e-newsletters, you may use the social media icons, or link directly to the page on the HBJ website. Copyright permission is not needed for social media or direct links.
