Norwalk music vendor to sell high-end guitars

Norwalk's Vision Musical Instruments LLC has been chosen to distribute Spain's Merida line of finely handcrafted guitars in the U.S., authorities say.

VMI will debut Merida's classical and acoustic guitars at the Summer National Association of Music Merchants show in Nashville, Tenn., in July.

VMI owner Michael Spremulli said his firm is eager to sign U.S. retailers for the guitars priced from $399 to $2,200.

The guitars are named for the historical Roman village of Merida in the area of Extremadura in Spain near Andalusia, the birthplace of the guitar, officials said.
