Aetna expands wellness program offerings

Aetna is enhancing its wellness programs for small and medium-sized employers by adding new benefits and cost incentives that aim to encourage more employee participation.

The added incentives, which are called Aetna Healthy Commitments, include increasing the guaranteed savings for employers to 2 percent on health care trend when their employees meet minimum participation levels and providing customers with access to additional incentives to encourage employee participation.

The program offers employers their choice of the enhanced package, including worksite biometric screenings and a social networking fitness challenge, or the premier package, which includes an additional lifestyle coaching program.

Both products are being bundled into a package that target employee participation and engagement.
