Spanish American Merchants Association Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Connecticut's Spanish American Merchants Association recently held its 30th Anniversary Awards Banquet which acknowledged community and business leaders for their contributions and commitment to the betterment of the state. Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra received SAMA's President's Award, and leadership awards were given to State Sen. John Fonfara and State Rep. Minnie Gonzalez. Juanita Espinosa of Hartford received the lifetime achievement award for her contribution to the organization and the business community and Luis Rodriguez of Comerio Restaurant in Hartford received the Merchant of the Year Award.
