The contract dispute between Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Connecticut Children's Medical Center is finally over.
The two sides announced Tuesday that they have reached a new multi-year agreement on participating contracts, nearly two months after the previous contract between both parties expired.
Terms of the deal are not being disclosed. But the agreement will mean Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Connecticut Children's Specialty Group will rejoin Anthem's networks as participating providers immediately.
That will allow Anthem customers to receive covered services provided by the Hospital and Specialty Group at in-network rates.
Additionally, Anthem and the hospital have worked out an arrangement so that claims for Anthem members who received services from April 16 to June 11—when the previous contract expired— will be paid under the member's in-network benefits.
