CEEF providing $1M efficiency loans to businesses

The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund has launched a new financing program awarding loans ranging from $2,000 to $1 million to businesses investing in energy efficient equipment.

Companies trying to incorporate two or more energy-saving measures qualify for a 2.99 percent interest rate while those with one measure qualify for a 4.99 percent interest rate. The low rates are offered on the first $100,00 of the loans, and financing is available for 60 months.

The money is geared toward companies in business for at least three years with good credit standing that want to defray costs of installing equipment not covered by other CEEF programs.

CEEF also offers interest-free loans and on-bill financing to small business customer. Loans in excess of $1 million are available to qualifying projects.
