Hartford library opening career center

Capital Workforce Partners and Hartford Public Library will open a career center on Monday at the downtown library location on 500 Main St.

The new CTWorks@HPL center will offer services for businesses with hiring needs as well for job seekers, including information on training and education courses and helping the underemployed land jobs.

Two agents from Hartford job training organization Capital Workforce Partners will operate the location at the library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

CTWorks operates 17 locations throughout the state in partnership with the Connecticut Workforce Development Council, of which Capital Workforce Partners is a member. The Connecticut Department of Labor will not be co-located in the Hartford library, as it is in other CTWorks sites.
