Wallingford's Discover Video LLC got $1 million in venture funding from Connecticut's technology investment arm to expand marketing of its video streaming equipment and services.
Connecticut Innovations Inc. in Rocky Hill said Wednesday it invested in Discovery Video through its newest funding vehicle, the Venture & Mezzanine Debt Fund.
Discover Video targets broadcasters, schools, corporations and government entities for live and on-demand video webcasting. Its products include multimedia video encoders, decoders, transcoders, media servers, priority video alert systems, video/digital signage and mobile broadcasting kits.
The company, at 140 West Dayton Hill Road, was founded by Rich Mavrogeanes and Michael Savic.
