CT's $421K to aid displaced Hfd. area workers

Connecticut got a $420,518 federal job-aid grant to put some 100 idled Hartford workers back on payrolls, authorities say.

The U.S. Department of Labor is assisting with job-search and retraining services for former workers at nonprofit Klingberg Family Centers in New Britain, Moore Wallace North America Inc. (known as R.R. Donnelley) in Windsor; and Raytel Cardiac Services Inc., formerly Philips Remote Cardiac Services, in Windsor.

The state's labor agency assigned the task to Capital Workforce Partners.
