Sun Products Corp. named veteran health-and-beauty products executive Scott Almquist as chief customer officer for the Wilton detergent brander.

Almquist will oversee customer development for both national and retailer branded products in the U.S. He also joins Sun's executive leadership team.

Sun's product lineup includes All, Wisk, Snuggle, Sun and Surf detergents.

Almquist comes to Sun from Zeno Corp, where he was CEO of the Houston, Texas, maker of health and beauty products

Before that, he was North America president of infant car-seat and products maker Evenflo Co. Almquist began his career in customer business development at consumer-products giant Procter & Gamble, spending 20 years there.

Almquist has a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.
