The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Board, which advises the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund, is seeking more contractors to participate in its flagship program, Home Energy Solutions.
Home Energy Solutions is the state's premier effort to make residences more energy efficient by swapping out light bulbs, selling leaks in doors and windows, and offering advice on other improvements.
The energy efficiency contractor market has grown exponentially in Connecticut over the last five years, as the state has committed to reducing its energy consumption. A number of efficiency contractors have sprung up throughout the state, although not all are authorized participants in the Home Energy Solutions program.
Being authorized under HES gives participant companies credibility in their work and partners them with the state's electric and natural gas utilities to improve efficiency in homes.
The deadline to apply is 3 p.m. Aug. 21. To apply, send an email to Diane Del Rosso at email@example.com with "HES Contractor RFP" in the subject line.
