The average price of gasoline in Connecticut crossed $4 per gallon over the weekend and sits at precisely $4 on Monday, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
On Saturday, the average price of regular unleaded his $4.003, crossing the threshold for the first time since April. By Monday morning, prices dropped slightly to $4.
The average price of gasoline in Greater Hartford remained below $4 per gallon, though, at $3.976 for regular unleaded.
The only major metropolitan area with $4 gasoline on Monday was Bridgeport with prices at $4.086 per gallon. New London-Norwich sat at $3.96 while New Haven-Meriden sat at $3.978.
