A 9,837-square-foot retail building that houses Brook Brothers in downtown Darien sold recently for $7.5 million, realty authorities say.
Kleban Darien LLC bought the building at 987 Boston Post Road from Brooks Darien LLC, a unit of DeBartolo Development.
Brooks Brothers is the sole tenant in the building erected in 2008 on a 0.13-acre parcel. There is 47 years left on the ground lease, authorities said.
Cushman & Wakefield Inc. brokered the sale.

New York plastics recycler PlastiCycle Corp. bought Bridgeport's former Syntex rubber-products plant as its newest recycling facility.
Businessman Joseph Cirillo and Seaview Plastic Recycling Inc. paid an undisclosed sum for the 58,722-square-foot industrial facility at 938 Crescent Ave. that has housed several short-term tenants since Syntex's successor vacated the plant in 2010.
Angel Commercial LLC represented the buyer and the seller, Lavelle Industries LLC of Wisconsin, Syntex's successor.
Plasticycle recycles all types of polymers into clean regrinds, reprocessed pellets and pulverized materials for reuse in a wide range of products and industries.
The plant was due to be running before Thanksgiving, authorities said.

The new office is due to open in December in the shopping center at 38 Tunxis Road.

A 29-year-old Wallingford office building has drawn a $3 million sale price, realty advisors say.
Eponymous seller 97 Barnes Road LLC sold the 23,057-square-foot building on just over five acres to SKF 97 Barnes LLC.
O,R&L Commercial represented both parties in the sale.
The office building was originally built in 1983 and was fully renovated in 2008.
O,R&L recently completed a lease with the Farm Services Agency for 2,000 square feet in the building that had 6,500 square feet of remaining vacancy.

Nonprofit The Arc of the Farmington Valley has purchased a 7,000 square-foot Canton office building to expand its day programs and services for people with learning disabilities.
The Arc — also known as FAVARH — bought the building at 15 Canton Springs Road from Four Paws Realty.
