The British maker of the 'tommee tippee' brand of baby products sold worldwide has accepted $400,000 in Connecticut incentives to relocate its U.S. headquarters and 16 workers to Stamford from Massachusetts, authorities say.

Mayborn Group, of Cramlington, U.K., plans to hire seven more workers by 2019 in its 5,000 square feet of leased offices at 1010 Washington Blvd., Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Wednesday. Norwood, Mass., is its former U.S. base.

In return, the state Department of Economic and Community Development gave Mayborn a $300,000 loan and a $100,000 matching grant through the Small Business Express program.

Mayborn's product line includes the "tommee tippee'' brand of baby bottles and drink cups, and hygiene products.

Its other global offices are in Hong Kong; Paris; and Melbourne, Australia.
