Duby McDowell, political analyst for WFSB and owner of her own consultancy, served as honorary chair of the event which raised money for the nonprofit. Nancy Bulkeley, community affairs specialist of Dominion, the title sponsor, took home the "closest to the pin" prize. Nearly 400 volunteers read from local, state and national newspapers and magazines daily, providing thousands of state residents who are vision-impaired or unable to handle printed material with access to publications that most individuals take for granted.
