A Wallingford energy efficiency firm is expanding its reach into Massachusetts and northern New England to help homeowners improve their houses with the help of government-sponsored quality assurance programs.
Competitive Resources, Inc. of Wallingford will open an office with 15 employees in Ashland, Mass., about 25 miles west of Boston. In the next year, the company expects to conduct 10,000 home energy efficiency inspections in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, where they have programs similar to the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund providing for a better use of a facility's heating, cooling and electric systems.
"Our quality assurance inspections will confirm that energy-saving equipment was installed properly, is performing optimally and that participating customers have received all of the benefits of the energy-efficiency program," CRI President Robert Kemper said in a statement.
