Fairfield U. dean stepping down

Fairfield University dean Norm Solomon is returning to the classroom full time after a decade managing the Jesuit college's Charles F. Dolan School of Business.

Solomon will return to teaching in 2012 following a year-long sabbatical, the university announced Wednesday. He officially departs in June.

The Bronx native who lives in Easton is credited with building up enrollment and faculty at the business school and for initiating student exchange programs with several European universities.
