Small-, women- and minority-owned businesses eager to do business with the City of Hartford will be offered insight at a Sept. 27 workshop into requirements to become a certified city contractor.
The city's Procurement Services Unit will lead the certification session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Function Room on the second floor at 550 Main St. downtown.
This workshop will walk them through the process of compiling the required documents to complete the certification process and answer questions as to the importance and the need for submitting the required documents.
To be certified, firms must have been in business for one year to be eligible and registered with the Secretary of the State's Office, in order to become certified.
