Solar installer RGS Energy, with a presence in Connecticut, created a $150 million financing program to put solar panels on top of businesses.
RGS Energy Capital provides development, financing and installation processes through power purchase agreements. RGS formed the partnership with New York-based Smart Energy Capital.
The new organization has projects under development in Connecticut as well as Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, Arizona, Delaware and Maryland. RGS is based in Colorado.
RGS has supported 13,000 solar projects since 1978.
