CT's TransAct sells software to NJ casino

Hamden printer maker TransAct Technologies has lined up another casino that will use its custom promotional software and equipment to entice gamblers to spend more.

TransAct announced Wednesday a contract to attach its EpiCenter print system package on all 2,427 slot machines the new Revel casino set to open in Atlantic City, N.J., in May. Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The new EpiCentral print system gives casinos the ability to offer instant promotions and rewards to slot players based on their play-history with the casino. The system is designed to replace the old method of sending loyal players promotions and rewards in the mail after they leave.

In February, TransAct launched its casino software at the Nisqually Red Wind Casino in Washington state.

TransAct also has sold the printers with the EpiCentral capability to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, but the casino has yet to contract for the software, authorities say.
