Texas fast-food franchise Mooyah is opening its second Connecticut location Thursday in West Hartford's Bishops Corner retail center, as it looks to expand further in the state.
The restaurant, which offers burgers, hot dogs, fries, and shakes, will open in the Big Y Plaza, next to People's United Bank at 772 North Main St.
Franchisee-owners are Matt Rusconi and David Vorchheimer, who opened Connecticut's first Mooyah in downtown Hartford's State House Square. They also introduced Moe's Southwest Grill in West Hartford four years ago.
The Dallas chain was founded in 2007 and ranked in the top 10 of FastCasual.com's annual Top 100 Movers & Shakers list for several years in a row.
