Virtus' Joe Terranova, et al, go robo

Hartford's Virtus Investment Partners has launched a mobile app that lets users access, among other things, its insiders' perspectives on the financial markets.

Virtus says the free app gives financial advisors access to the regional director or consultant who can provide personalized assistance with Virtus products, including its mutual funds.

It also provides financial advisors, investors, and market followers access to Virtus' most up-to-date blogs and commentaries from market strategists, including the market events calendar from Chief Market Strategist Joe Terranova.

The app is available through the iTunes App Store and the Android Marketplace and is compatible with iPads, iPhones and iPod Touches using Apple operating system 4.3 or newer, and with devices using the Android operating system 2.2 or later.

Virtus said it developed the app in conjunction with Case Partners of Hartford.
