Ex-U.S. Homeland Security chief Ridge at Trinity Tue.

Former U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge will lecture Tuesday at Hartford's Trinity College on the nation's growing foreign-policy challenges.

Ridge, former Pennsylvania governor and the country's first Homeland Security secretary, will deliver the 2012 Clement Lecture at 3:15 p.m. in the Washington Room in Mather Hall.

Since leaving the public sector, Ridge founded and serves as president and CEO of Ridge Global, a security consulting firm in Washington D.C.

He also is a member of the boards of the Institute for Defense Analyses, the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress and other private and public entities. Since 2005, he has served as chairman of the National Organization on Disability.

Ridge graduated from Harvard University and the Dickinson School of Law.
