New York City law firm McCarter & English LLP, with offices in Hartford, hired intellectual property attorney Harry K. Ahn as a partner in its Manhattan office.
Ahn will focus his practice on patent prosecution, trademarks and licensing. He comes from Abelman, Frayne & Schwab in New York City, where he was a partner.
Before practicing law, Ahn was a systems engineer in electronic switching systems and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN).
Ahn is fluent in Korean and regularly lectures on U.S. patent law in Korea. He earned his law degree from Fordham University School of Law, his MBA from the Stern School of Business, and his B.S. in electrical engineering from Columbia University School of Engineering.
He is admitted to the bars in New York and Washington and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Ahn is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.
