CT's WWE draws record 1.3M pay-per-views

Stamford live-action promoter WWE says its recent Wrestlemania event in Miami drew an estimated 1.3 million pay-per-view buys globally and generated more than $67 million, counting live ticket sales and merchandising -- both records.

The April 1 matchup at Miami's Sun Life Stadium, featuring "The Rock'' and "John Cena,'' was viewed worldwide in more than 105 countries and 20 languages, the company said Tuesday.

Next year's WrestleMania is April 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
