CT Water issues its first eco-report

Connecticut Water Co., one of the state's biggest water utilities, is releasing its first report outlining its efforts to be an environmentally responsible corporate citizen.

CEO Eric W. Thornburg said the report highlights efforts to run its business operations in ways that respect the natural environment while valuing service to customers, communities, employees, and shareholders.

CT Water provides drinking water to 106,000 customers, or about 350,000 drinkers, throughout Connecticut and Maine.

The report is available at the company's Web site, www.ctwater.com.
