Wallingford's ex-Dixtal workers due federal aid

Former workers at Dixtal Medical Inc. in Wallingford are eligible for federal aid for employees who lose their jobs due to trade factors, authorities say.

The workers who once made pulse oximeters and sensors were certified on March 29, as eligible to apply for federal Trade Adjustment Assistance, the state Department of Labor says.

The agency says it is notifying the workers about their eligibility and menu of benefits, including money, job training and health coverage tax credits.
