Windsor software servuce provider SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. increased first quarter earning 82 percent over last year, on increased revenues and lowered expenses.
SS&C earned $17.9 million - or 22 cents per share - in the first quarter against $9.8 million - or 12 cents per share - in the first quarter 2011.
The earnings increased in part to revenue increases to $93.7 million in the first quarter, compared to $89 million in the first quarter 2011. The company also avoided $8.3 million in added expense that it incurred in the first quarter 2011 from interest and loss on the extinguishment of debt.
For the entire year, SS&C issued guidance predicting up to $400 million in revenues and $103.5 million in adjusted net income.
