Gasoline price in Greater Hartford dropped more than 5 cents per gallon on Wednesday, nearing $4 per gallon for the first time since March.
The price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Greater Hartford on Wednesday was $4.022, down from $4.075 from the week before.
Prices have fallen steadily for the past two weeks and are down more than 10 cents from a month ago and 21 cents from a year ago.
The price of gasoline is largely influenced by the price of a barrel of crude oil. Those oil prices have fallen six days in a row to $96.81 per barrel.
