Nashville's TNA pro wrestling company has filed a lawsuit against its much larger rival, WWE in Stamford, according to media reports.
Total Nonstop Action Entertainment Inc. has filed a lawsuit in a Tennessee court claiming that WWE hired a former TNA employee that gave them trade secrets and confidential information, Nashville Business Journal reports, citing a dispatch that first appeared in Nashville's City Paper.
In the lawsuit, TNA claims that WWE hired Brian Wittenstein earlier this year and he gave the wrestling giant vital information about wrestler contracts, for instance.
On Thursday, a judge signed a temporary restraining order that requires WWE and the former employee to return any confidential info.
A hearing has been set for June 11.
