Stamford Health said Tuesday that its Stamford Health Find My Way application, which helps patients and visitors navigate to the new Stamford Hospital, has been downloaded nearly than 1,500 times.
"Working with Connexient's Medinav mobile platform, we created intuitive, GPS-driven indoor maps that provide turn-by-turn direction and location-based content within the hospital," John Rossi, executive director, information services and security at Stamford Health, said in a news release.
The app helps visitors and patients identify and navigate to internal points of interest, including key departments, the cafeteria, gift shop, ATMs, elevators, restrooms and stairways, he said.
Downloadable from the iTunes and Google Play stores, Find My Way features Stamford Health's physician directory to provide quick access to phone numbers and location information. There also are direct links to bill pay, patient portals and Stamford Health's Facebook and Twitter feeds. Additionally, information and directions to the extensive artwork collection within the hospital is available through the mobile application.
