Connecticut's income-tax collector is suspending processing of electronic income-tax returns generated by three tax preparers – one of them in East Hartford.
State Department of Revenue Services (DRS) Commissioner Kevin Sullivan said Thursday his agency has detected a high volume of "questionable returns'' coming from the three preparers in East Harford, Ansonia and New Haven.
Sullivan did not say what about their clients' filed state income-tax returns prompted the agency's concern.
