Wallingford's Amphenol adds BOA chief to board

Wallingford-based electronics manufacturer Amphenol Corp. has named the managing director and head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch to its board of directors.

Anne Clarke Wolff, the head of global corporate banking and global leasing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, will serve on Amphenol's board, which is one of the world's largest manufacturers of interconnect systems in automotive, commercial aerospace and information technology and data communications, among others.

With facilities in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, Amphenol designs and manufactures electronic and fiber optic connectors, and coaxial and flat-ribbon cable.

Amphenol's CEO R. Adam Norwitt said Wolff's expertise overseeing a leader in the banking industry will be valuable to the company's growth across the world.

"We conducted an exhaustive search for a director who would further strengthen our board's breadth of talent and background, and we are delighted to have identified such an outstanding individual," Martin Loeffler, Amphenol's chairman, said.

Wolff joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2011, and held senior positions at JP Morgan Chase & Co. from 2009 to 2011. She also worked at Citigroup from 1998 to 2009 before beginning her career at Salomon Brothers.
