This former UConn Health site will become a Kia dealership.

A former UConn Health facility in East Hartford will eventually house a relocated local Kia automobile dealership, brokers say.

Ash Street Holdings LLC, doing business as Kia of East Hartford Inc., paid seller Ash Realty Associates $1.58 million for the approximately 30,544-square-foot office building and acreage at 99 Ash St., according to Rocky Hill broker O,R&L Commercial. The Ash Street site is visible from I-84.

Kia of East Hartford plans to move new-used car franchise from its current town site at 540 Connecticut Blvd. -- "dealers' row" -- to 99 Ash once renovations and an expansion of the 37-year-old structure are completed, said seller's brokers Jay L. Morris and Luke Massirio, of O,R&L Commercial.

Colliers International represented the buyer.
