Two more Connecticut jurists have been nominated to fill Superior Court vacancies, the governor says.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Friday his nominations of South Windsor attorney Norma I. Sanchez-Figueroa and Windsor lawyer Jennifer Macierowski.

Malloy previously nominated 30 other jurists to fill openings in the state's civil, criminal and appellate courts, largely due to retirements of sitting judges. All must be confirmed by state lawmakers before they can be formally seated.

Sánchez-Figueroa is a family-support magistrate in the Judicial Branch, where she has served since 2011. Prior to that, she served in private practice with law firms in 1994 to 1995, and then as the solo practitioner.

Macierowski is chief legal counsel and director of research and policy for the General Assembly's Senate Republican Caucus, where she has worked since 1999.
