Kiducation, known for its large white used clothing drop-off bins around the state, is moving from New Haven to Hamden after buying an industrial building in town for $585,000, brokers said.

Community Crusade for Children Inc., the nonprofit that operates Kiducation, bought the 19,000-square-foot building at 2115 State St. from 2135 State Street LLC, according to brokers.

Founded in 1996, Kiducation collects clothing for local and global causes and also sells some to raise money for schools, libraries, day cares, camps and other programs, according to the nonprofit's website.

The nonprofit channels some of the funds back into the communities where the bins are located, the website said.

The organization is moving from 36 River St. in New Haven, said seller's broker David Melillo of Pearce Real Estate's North Haven office. Berkshire Hathaway New England Properties represented the buyer.

Old Saybrook business park lease

A marketing and consulting firm for companies that sell products and services to schools has leased an office suite in the Old Saybrook Business Park, brokers said.

School Market Research Institute (SMRI) Inc. is leasing 902 square feet at 139 Mill Rock Road East from landlord Mill Rock Leasing LLC, brokers said. The three-room office suite includes a shared kitchen and lunch room.

The Geenty Group of Branford was the sole broker.
