West Hartford's newest apartment community, one with 54 units, debuts Thursday on New Park Avenue, next to the Elmwood CTfastrak station.

Eponymous 616 New Park is a $20 million mixed-use, transit-oriented development that Trout Brook Realty Advisors owns.

The West Hartford Housing Authority manages the building, targeting young, working professionals in their 20's and 30's. The development also includes 11 units of supportive housing specifically for veterans and offers first-floor commercial space.

The state Department of Housing, the Department of Economic and Community Development and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority participated in publicly funding the project.

Private financing partners include Trout Brook Realty, National Equity Fund, TD Bank, Eversource, Farmington Bank, and Local Initiatives Support Corp.
