R. Perley McBride, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Norwalk-based phone, television and internet provider Frontier Communications, is resigning effective Aug. 31, the company announced.
Frontier, which provides television, internet and telephone service across much of Connecticut, said Thursday that McBride is leaving the communications company for personal reasons and will return home to Atlanta. He will assist Frontier's transition until he departs in August.
Frontier President and CEO Daniel J. McCarthy called McBride a "major contributor" to the company.
"He has negotiated improvements in the terms of our credit agreements, raised $1.6 billion of new second lien debt, and retired approximately $1.7 billion of unsecured notes," McCarthy said.
Frontier said it is currently looking for McBride's replacement.
