The news director for WTNH-TV is joining Rocky Hill-based WFSB as its executive news director, the CBS affiliate announced Thursday.

Keith Connors, who led WTNH, the ABC affiliate in New Haven, for more than three years, will begin as WFSB's lead executive on July 23, the station said. Connors succeeds Dana Neves, who was promoted to vice president and general manager in March.

"Keith is a top-notch journalist," Neves said, who "has the leadership and vision to guide WFSB into the future."

In 2014, Connors co-founded mobile software company UNews Digital LLC in Houston, Texas.

Prior to his arrival in New Haven, he served as news director at WTHR-TV in Indianapolis, Ind., and was also the executive news director at KHOU-TV in Houston from 2005 to 2010.

He also served as news director at stations in Charlotte, N.C., Norfolk, Va., and was a managing editor, assignment manager and a producer at a station in Nashville, Tenn.
