HomeGoods to bow in Windsor Aug. 5

A discount home decor store is opening a new 19,850-square-foot location in Windsor's Kenney Road Marketplace shopping center next month.

Framingham, Mass.-based HomeGoods says its doors will be open Sunday, Aug. 5 at 1065 Kenney Road, its 12th location in the Hartford region. The Windsor site expects to employ 65 part- and full-time workers.

The national retailer, a subsidiary under the TJX Cos. umbrella that also includes Marshalls and TJ Maxx, offers brand-name furniture, cooking products, rugs, lighting, bedding, home accessories and art, among other items.

HomeGoods operates over 650 stores and TJX has more than 4,000 nationwide.
