Southwest Airlines, which serves Bradley International, added daily flights to St. Louis on Tuesday.

Southwest Airlines on Tuesday launched daily flights between Hartford and St. Louis, Mo.

The first Bradley International Airport departure to St. Louis via a 143-seat Boeing 737 was at 11:10 a.m. EST, with touchdown set for 12:45 p.m. CST at Lambert International Airport, the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA), Bradley's operator, said.

The inaugural inbound St. Louis flight to Bradley was due to depart Lambert at 4:25 p.m., arriving Bradley at 7:50 p.m. EST.

CAA and Southwest Air announced the service in February.

St. Louis will be Southwest's 10th nonstop destination from Bradley since the carrier began service there in 1999.
