Bristol Hospital is commemorating a construction milestone of its new 60,000-square-foot ambulatory care center downtown.

With the center's foundation and frame in place, hospital employees, board members, local legislatures, business and community leaders recently took part in a ceremonial beam signing as the construction nears completion in spring 2019.

In May, construction crews broke ground on the three-floor structure on the corners of Riverside Avenue and Main Street. The facility will house Bristol Hospital's multi-specialty group for several services including cardiology, endocrinology and diabetes, neurology, orthopedics, rheumatology and urology.

Florida-based developer Rendina Healthcare Real Estate has partnered in the project and will own and manage the new facility.
