A Middletown-based provider of homecare and behavioral health services for the elderly and mentally ill says it recently acquired the home care branch of a handicapped transportation company.

ChangeInc, which serves non-medical in-home healthcare options to patients in Connecticut and Massachusetts, said it acquired Bozrah-based QC Homecare Solutions' home care division. Financial terms were not disclosed.

With rising living costs and a large number of individuals suffering from chronic pain, ChangeInc CEO Derrick Gibbs Jr. said its new partnership allows them to serve a large pool of patients with a greater impact.

Founded in 2009, ChangeInc provides homemaking companions, personal care, case management and counseling, among other services.
