BantamWesson acquires Oxford's E&L Heating

Waterbury-based fuel and home services company BantamWesson has acquired E&L Heating, a firm that provides home heating oil to residents in Oxford and surrounding towns.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ed Crowe, the retiring owner of the 32-year-old Oxford heating oil company, said he and his wife, Linda, searched for a business that would "treat our customers as we did."

"We believe we found it with BantamWesson," he said in a statement. "It was clear to us that their resources and dedication to service would keep our customers comfortable well into the future."

BantamWesson, which also has offices in Litchfield and Canton, provides energy efficiency solutions, fuels, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and home improvement services to customers in 52 Connecticut towns. The company said it specializes in working with homeowners to reduce energy consumption.
