CTData to spearhead state's 2020 census

The Connecticut Data Collaborative, which advocates for open and accessible data, said it will serve as the state's official source for 2020 census reporting.

The Connecticut Data Collaborative, or CTData, headquartered at 10 Constitution Plaza in downtown Hartford, will report statistics to the U.S. Census Bureau's State Data Center Program as the nation approaches the upcoming census. The program is a collaborative agreement between states and the U.S. Census Bureau.

Under its new designation, CTData will release statistical trends throughout Connecticut, provide tutorials on accessing data online, market datasets through several networks and launch a statewide data portal linking to various data sets including areas of housing, health, education and demographics.

CTData, a public-private partnership, serves nonprofits, advocates, policymakers, community groups and funders through its data distribution.
