Meriden retail center on market for $48M

The Fairfield/Westchester office of Avison Young has been named exclusive agent for the sale of Townline Square, 533 S. Broad St., Meriden, a fully leased retail center. Asking price is $48.5 million.

The Route 5 retail center houses 31 retail suites and 311,290 square feet, with 1,025 feet of frontage on Route 5. The facility includes a mix of tenants including Marshalls, Michael's, Burlington Coat Factory, Edge Fitness, Pier 1 Imports, Skechers, PetSmart, Big Y and McDonald's.

The property owner is Castle Rock Equity Group.


Murat Karacayli has acquired 795 & 797 Savin Ave, West Haven. The fully occupied investment property, consisting of two 4,700-square-foot four-family homes on 0.55 acres, sold for $605,000. The buyer was represented by Mike Boyarsky of Welco Realty, while the seller was represented by Fred A. Messore of Colonial Properties.


John Stone of Guilford has joined Pearce Commercial as a commercial associate in the company's North Haven office. He is an attorney licensed to practice in Florida, where he most recently was co-founder and owner of a real-estate brokerage firm. Stone earned both his baccalaureate and legal degrees from Quinnipiac University. He is also a trustee of Oxford Academy in Westbrook.


David Rothberg of Gemini Realty in Fairfield was awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute during the organization's national conference in Chicago last month. To earn the CCIM designation commercial Realtors complete a comprehensive 160-hour case-study education curriculum.
