Greater Hartford house sales flattened in October, but median prices rose slightly, Realtors say.
There were 1,109 single-family dwellings sold last month -- only eight more than sold in Oct. 2017, the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors (GHAR) said Tuesday.
Median home prices rose 2.7 percent in October to $225,000 from $219,000 a year earlier.
In the condominium market, their sales grew 8.4 percent to 246 units vs. 227 sold a year ago. Their median price fell 1.2 percent to $146,750 from $148,500, GHAR said.
"The greater Hartford housing market is fairly stable. Tightened inventory could be the reason for the slight uptick in prices," GHAR CEO Holly Callanan said in a statement.
