Dunkin' Donuts Park in downtown Hartford will again host college baseball games this spring.

The Hartford Yard Goats, the Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the Colorado Rockies and main occupant of the ballpark, on Thursday announced a slate of Division I college baseball games for UConn, the University of Hartford and Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) at the stadium.

Dunkin' Donuts Park, named the minor league division's best ballpark, has fielded college games each of its first two seasons in operation, and has also hosted high school baseball games in the past.

The latest series of college games underscore an expanding list of uses for the stadium, which has been transformed in to a par-3 golf course, and has held a beer festival, charity events, community functions and a wedding.

Seven college games will be played at Dunkin' Donuts Park between April 5 and May 14.

The schedule includes:

  • Friday, April 5: UConn Huskies vs Cincinnati Bearcats (7:05 PM)
  • Saturday, April 6: UConn Huskies vs Cincinnati Bearcats (2:05 PM)
  • Wednesday, April: Hartford Hawks vs University of Rhode Island Rams (6:05 PM)
  • Friday, May 3: UConn Huskies vs Wichita State Shockers (7:05 PM)
  • Saturday, May 4: UConn Huskies vs Wichita State Shockers (2:05 PM)
  • Tuesday, May 7: Hartford Hawks vs CCSU Blue Devils (10:35 AM)
  • Tuesday, May 14: Hartford Hawks vs LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds (6:05 PM)

The Yard Goats recently made national headlines, including plugs in the New York Times, USA Today and TIME magazine, after unveiling its 2019 game day promotional schedule, which revealed Dunkin' Donuts Park will become the nation's first peanut-free sports venue.

The team said it will no longer sell peanuts and Cracker Jack to make the venue safer for those with peanut and tree nut allergies.
